ALT Codes for Windows

Windows ALT codes are the keyboard shortcuts on Windows that are used to type special characters and symbols. You have to turn on the Num Lock, press down the ALT key and type the number on the keyboard's numeric keypad. Search the character in the table below to get the ALT codes.

ALT Codes

ALT Codes can be used on personal computers to access special characters on computers which use Microsoft Operating Systems e.g. Windows. You need to activate the Num Lock and then press and hold the ALT and type any number on numeric keypad on the keyboard and then release the ALT. For Example, ALT + 64 is the At-sign @ and ALT + 184 is the copy-right sign ©. There are other character encodings that are widely known i.e. UTF-8 and Windows-1252.
