What is Extended ASCII (Windows-1250)
Windows-1250 is a Windows-1250, also known as CP1250 or Windows Central European, is an 8-bit character encoding used by Microsoft Windows to represent Central and Eastern European languages that use the Latin alphabet, such as Polish, Czech, Slovak, Hungarian, Slovenian, Croatian, and Romanian. Microsoft introduced this in Windows Operating System and it is widely used for databases, text processing and embedded systems. Each character is represented by a single-byte (8-bits) and it includes supports for different symbols and characters that are primarily used by these languages. There are other character encodings that are also widely known i.e. Windows-1252 and UTF-8.
How many characters does Windows-1250 support?
